How to Create CHECKERED CHESS Pattern in Photoshop

BASICS in Photoshop:
Here's a quick tutorial on how to create CHECKERED CHESS Pattern in Photoshop.



1. Create new 100 x 100 px file with white background.

2. Use your Rectangular Marquee Tool and draw 50 x 50px square.

3. Fill it with black.

4.Duplicate Layer and place it diagonally.

5.Merge Layers or simply press Ctrl + E.

6.Select all (Ctrl + A).

7. Go to Edit >>Define Pattern and name it "CHECKERED".

8. Create new file 800 x 800px. Add new Layer >Go to Edit
>Fill >Pattern >Choose CHECKERED.


And there you go,

There you have it!
You now have your own CHECKERED CHESS Pattern in Photoshop.

How to Make Disco Ball in Photoshop

In this tutorial, I'm gonna be showing you on how to create Disco Ball in Photoshop.
This is just so quick and easy to do.










1. Create new File.

2. Add new Layer and name it CLOUDS.

3. Set Foreground color to White and Background to Black.

4. Go to Filter >>Render >>Clouds.

It should look like this:

5. Grab you Elliptical Marquee Tool and create a perfect circle by holding Shift and then Drag.

As shown below:

6. Now, go to Layer >>Layer via Copy  or simply press Ctrl +  J.

7. Hide/detele Layer CLOUDS and rename Layer1 to BALL.

8. Go to Filter >>Stylize >>Extrude.

and use this settings:

and it’s should look like this:

9. Ctrl + Click Layer BALL to make selection.

The Selection should look  like this:

10. Go to Filter >>Distort >>Spherize and set mode to Normal and 100% its Amount.

It should look like this:

11. Go to Image >>Adjustments >>Level and set this settings:

12. Open Hue and Saturation and then check Colorize. Choose the color you want.

Mine, I used this settings:
 

Here’s the result: 

(Note: Use your Free Transform to make it look like in the picture below and fill your background layer with Black to give more emphasis to our DISCO BALL)

13. Let’s add Outer Glow to our DISCO BALL:

I used this color setting:

14. Now, let’s add more effects to our DISCO BALL.

We’ll then use the Glitter Effects click here to view the tutorial.

15. Let's do something with the background.
Add new layer and set brush to Hard Round 175px and the rest, play around with the Brush sizes and color to achieve this effect to its Background.



Add some Text to it.

16. And here's our final Result:

How to make Glitter Effects in Photoshop

1. Create new file with 500 x 400 settings.
Set its background color to Black.

2. Grab your Brush Tool and set to Soft Round 5px.

3. Add new Layer and name it “STROKEPATH”.

4. set Foreground Color to white.

5. Select Pen Tool from your tools palette.

Set it to Paths.

6. And draw a straight line.

7. With the Pen Tool on, right click and select Stroke Path then check Simulate Pressure.

It should look like this:

8. Duplicate Layer (Ctrl + J).

9. While Layer Copy is on, apply Free Transform >>Rotate 90 degrees.
And it should look like this:

10. Add new Layer and set Brush Tool to Soft Round 100px and brush just like a single dot on the intersections.

Add another single dot using Brush Tool set to Soft Round 40px to add more glow effect.

11. Select Layers and Merge:

Rename merge Layer to Glitters:

12. And there you have it guys! You have now your very own Glitter Effect using Photoshop.

You can use it anywhere you like it
You just have to duplicate a couple of times in order to achieve this effect.
